Noyer: French Banks Wont Need Extra Capital After Stress Tests |
|
PARIS -(Dow Jones)- Bank of France Governor Christian Noyer said Monday that he doesn't expect French banks to need capital injections following European stress tests. "I don't expect any particular need," Noyer told journalists as he presented the Bank of France's 2010 results. However, he said the Bank of France won't be "complacent" on stress tests. The plan by the Irish authorities to inject capital in their banks after stress tests is "well calibrated and adequate," he added. -By William Horobin, Dow Jones Newswires, +33 1 4017 1737; william.horobin@dowjones.com (END) Dow Jones Newswires April 04, 2011 07:38 ET (11:38 GMT) Copyright (c) 2011 Dow Jones & Company, Inc. |
