BP, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips In Talks With Alaska For $40 Billion LNG Project -FT |

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES BP PLC (BP, BP.LN), ConocoPhillips (COP) and Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) are in talks on a $40 billion project to ship liquefied natural gas from Alaska to Asia, the Financial Times reported Wednesday. The companies and Alaska officials hope to resolve a lease dispute at the Point Thomson oil and gas field next week, the FT said, citing people close to the negotiations. Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell told the newspaper he is "cautiously optimistic" about the plans.
