ATHEX Stays Around 2,700 |

The General Index stays around 2,700 on Tuesday, on the back of the modest rise of European bourses.
PPC, which announced 9M net of 642.7 mil. euro, is registering mild losses given that the strong results had already been priced in previous sessions. Even though the vast majority of blue chips is gaining, cautiousness vs. banks constrains the General index, which now advances 0.27% at 2,695.35. The banking index is up 0.51%, with Aspis Bank (-0.85%) and Attica (-0.49%) being its only composites with a negative sign. Still, analysts focus on the, so far, wait-and-see stance, that is Alpha Bank´s share capital increase and the sale of Aspis Bank. It is indicative that NBG is registering a trading volume of just 200,000 pieces, up 0.35%. 86 stocks rise, 37 fall and 35 remain unchanged, on a total turnover of 35 mil. euro. FTSE20 and FTSE40 advance 0.41% and 0.52% with FTSE80 outperforming 1.49%. |
