Citibank Shuts Down 10 Attica Branches |

Citibank´s management decided on Friday night to shut down 10 branches in Attica and merge them with other existing branches.
According to official sources, this decision is in the bounds of the Group´s restructuring process in order to ease the effects of the gglobal economic crisis. As far as the Greek market goes, the bank decided to stop offering own credit products and said it will direct its operations towards more profitable sectors. This comes after the Group has made ckear it has decided to limit its exposure at Europe. Still, as Britain´s Economist had said in the beginning of the month, the bank has not yet made clear how it intends to get rid of 1/3 of its operations, which it describes as “non-core.” |
